Stonington A Quaker Hill man was charged with reckless driving Saturday after police say he drove 139 miles per hour on Interstate 95.
Stewart V. Williams, 25, of [Adress redacted by Moi --TSR], Quaker Hill, was charged with reckless driving, greater than 85 mph.
According to State Police, Williams was traveling northbound near exit 92 when a trooper used a laser clock to read the speed of his 2012 Audi R8 at 139 miles per hour in a 65-miles-per-hour zone. Williams was stopped and taken into custody. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at GA 10 in New London on May 17.
When the Bears played the Colts in the Superbowl, I-65 had extremely little traffic between them (so I am told). I heard there may have been some speed record set that day as IN State Troopers are also big Colts/Bears fans.
I don’t live my life in fear either. Believe it or not.
Some things are just stupid and irresponsible, at least leaving many people to grieve and have to adjust their lives to make up for the unjustifiable loss.
I’d rather lose my life in honor fighting a crook than doing something for fun.
Some things are just stupid and irresponsible...
Also, different things are stupid and irresponsible at different times. FWIW, I don’t consider bungie jumping dangerous, though I’ve never done it. I don’t have the desire.
