Was that a Memorial service or a funeral>
I am not much on people who tape funerals.
I believe this was a Memorial service.

WOW..VERY TOUCHING.
And none of the “show off’ crap you get with musicians or ‘singers” today.

It was so beautiful the way Patty Lovelace helped Vince Gill get through that song. They are both amazing talents.

Vince Gill originally wrote that song for the funeral of his brother who had a troubled life.

Vince Gill is the most talented artist in Nashville now. Performing for George Jones at his funeral was very traumatic for him. He made it through.

It was his funeral...
I watched on the computer. and Laura Bush was one of the Guest speakers...she did a classy chat, that made me miss her all the more.
loved George Jones music in my youth...
and he..STOPPED LOVING HER TODAY...THEY PLACED A WREATH UPON HIS DOOR,, SOON THEY WILL CARRY HIM AWAY, HE STOPPED LOVING HER TODAY. ALAN JACKSON SUNG THAT IN HIS HONOR AND MEMORY AT THE END..HAD ME WEEPING..

The songwriter was Curly Putnam. He had a way with saying goodbye. George got it right.
