Depends.
If you are a US citizen, then you have far fewer rights.
Carry it and when caught say you are an illegal, they can’t touch you then.
Good question. The way things are going lately, you could get arrested for being in possession of a sharp stick, even a pencil.
It isn’t a firearm
Illegal in the Cape Hatteras and Cape Lookout National Seashore areas.
Keep in mind, many areas think knives, sling shots, etc. Aren't 'arms' and ya don't have a right to have them.
I know all slingshots are illegal in New Jersey, and they are illegal in NY if they have wrist braces. I’m sure they are elsewhere as well, but I couldn’t speak from first hand knowledge elsewhere.
I did a search for “slingshots illegal” and sure enough...
Why are Slingshots with wrist bands illegal in NY?

Where did my country go?
They have a lawyer on speed dial and bail pre-arranged.

If they want you, they will take you.
Going after Goliath?
There is probably a law against it in some jurisdiction.
It takes a great deal of skill and hand-eye coordination to use a wristrocket accurately and hit your target. It’s not like a firearm where you sight down the barrel. You have to sight down your arm, and your arm has to be steady. I doubt very much if there are any laws regarding them, because they are below the radar. Kinda like crossbows.
I say take back our country from the communists!
And of course, never in a million years could you get away with calling them what they were called in my day.
Depends .... is it black? Does it have a removable magazine? Does it have a handgrip? And above all, is it considered an “assault weapon” (aka AK-47 Slingshot)?
depends on use and state
You can even open carry a pistol in Virginia; no permit required.
I knew a Green Beret, who when sequestered for months, got himself a wrist rocket and a really big, economy bottle of aspirin. By the time the bottle was used up, he could nail a fly at a respectable distance.
Gosh. I sure HOPE not! (Innocent Until PROVEN Guilty...)
