Having outlandish demands is essential for any performer aspiring to diva-dom. And according to rumors, Beyonce is no exception.
The Daily Star is reporting that Beyonce, currently traveling on her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, has an impressive list of diva demands as part of her tour rider, the contractual list of conditions performance venues are expected to meet for their artists.
According to the site, the 31-year-old performer has asked for titanium drinking straws that cost around $935, red toilet paper, "hand-carved ice balls to suck on," cotton clothes for her staff, and "freshly painted white walls."
Working so hard and with the toll the travel takes on her body in addition to the intense shows, she feels that her requests arent too much to ask for as she wants to ensure everything goes to plan. a source said.
E! News reported that a representative of London's O2 Arena said Beyonce has requested the use of brand new dressing rooms for artists, as well as the large space normally reserved for sports teams.
Some gossip bloggers immediately criticized Beyonce's apparently diva-like tour requirements. Perez Hilton called them "wackadoo," while The Stir's Ericka Sóuter wrote, "Beyonce's tour demands reveal what a crazy diva she really is."
Sounds like she might like perfume for her poop too, assuming that it needs it.
‘red toilet paper’ Where do even buy that?
The other stuff is just fracking weirder still.
I’ll leave the “balls to suck on” for other, wiser (or more experienced) commentators...
but pray tell, why does she need, or even want, “red toilet paper!?”
(and what does that do to the environment?)
Is “red toilet paper” a roll with pictures of a certain CasaBlanca Occupant on each sheet, or?
Red toilet paper doesn’t sound eco-friendly.
Reminds me about David Lee Roth and no brown M&Ms. DLR had a point with that. He wanted to make sure the contract was read and followed properly.
WRONG! Her crap IS the perfume....she’s a celeb you know!
She should also order some talent pills.
Music lessons would be nice, too.
My mind didn't go to the gutter until I saw that.
At least that referred to a woman for once with the news lately. Holy crap. Someone famous is straight?!
Beyonce is getting bad advice on clothing, costume, lip-synching, repertoire, dance moves, and attitude. She is also getting old and the Powers That Be may be setting her up to do something REALLY stupid in order to be replaced with a fresh new model.
Remember Whitney and Michael. Both of them had MUCH more talent than Beyonce, but it did not save them from the machine. Both met with an untimely and sad ending, mostly their own fault, but the end was preceded by an ever increasing acceleration of public gaffes, crazy moves, and ridicule. Then, after they died, the PTB exploited their deaths with lavish funerals and histrionics.
Watch out, Beyonce! (This is just an opinion based upon observation.)
She doesn’t want her toilet paper color to clash with her poop.
These people get away with demands like this because some idiot will agree to them. They should be told to go suck an egg and stay somewhere else. But the fact is the places where they stay rip them off so bad they can meet their demands and still make a profit. They enjoy being ripped off OR they are too stupid to realize it’s happening.
Beyonce isn’t a Diva, just a nasty Hybrid woman of mixed blood who thinks she is showing off with these demands when she is really just showing her ass, as the saying goes.
Not for at least 31/2 years. But then...Ya. I could see it.
What about no brown M&Ms?
When you-know-who falls, she’ll fall too, along with Jay-Z.
The humans NEVER win in a Faustian Bargain.
Red toilet paper is available online for about $16 for three rolls.
Just an increase in ticket prices. The only people ripped off are fans. And they pay willingly so no foul really. Dumb. But as long as they feed the machine, it’s a monster of their own making.
Same for pro sports fans.
Great gag gift for people with lower bowel disease....not.
