Shocking new footage has surfaced that appears to show a 747-400 cargo plane crashing at Afghanistan's Bagram Airfield. The crash reportedly left all seven Americans aboard the plane dead.

The Taliban took responsibility for the crash shortly after it occurred yesterday, but NATO told the Associated Press that these claims were false.

One army spokesperson said the crash occurred due to low altitude after takeoff. The plane, run by Florida-based National Airlines, a subsidiary of National Air Cargo, was reportedly carrying vehicles and other cargo and was bound for Dubai.

We've embedded the footage below, which appears to have been caught by a dash-cam. It seems the video was first uploaded to LiveLeak earlier this morning, and later re-uploaded to YouTube.

Warning: Some viewers may find the video upsetting:

Here's the full-length video:

Bagram airfield crash 29 apr 2013

At 1:15 he says, "Ah, f**k." So I was partially wrong, but the voice is very clearly English and probably American.

Curious about the dog yelping around 1:32.

I read yesterday that the camera was mounted on a US military vehicle, and the “cameraman” said the f-word. (Not sure if true).

True, on the original there is a single "aw f%^$" about a minute after impact. Kind of strange - I'm sure I would have been saying a lot more...

I understood from a FOX report is that planes have to take off very quickly in those areas for the fear of RPGs. Incredibly sad and RIP.

Just had a fam member retire as a cargo pilot for UPS. Flew all over the world. Before that he was an AF pilot.

Have they been changing the soundtrack on the video? lbryce didn’t hear him express any emotion. 1rudedog (and I) heard him say the F-word, and rarestia heard him say the Sh-word.

I really think the guy was just mad that the road was blocked....looks like he tries to drive around the crash.

Seems to be a consensus that it was a load shift....something heavy, a tank?.. broke loose..went to the rear, tail went down, nose up..a stall.

My question: because of the possibility of a Taliban attack on planes taking off from Bagram, do aircraft take off and climb out from there at a steeper angle?

A 747 can climb out at a much higher angle of attack than in normal civilian flights...so could this maneuver have made it worse...??

I saw a lot of cargo aircraft take off from Kandahar, and I don’t remember ever seeing them take off at that high an angle.

While I’m sure it would cost a lot of money to add ejection systems to such aircraft, it could be done. With just a crew of seven, I’d think the cost per life would be worthwhile.

runaway elevator trim? catastrophic load shift? engine failure distracted crew? We will have to wait on NTSB. Prayers for the aviators and their families! Amen!

I have no idea. I’d think it would make it worse just on basic physics but the whole thing is way outside my area of knowledge.

Oh, and I don’t think the plane is a 747 - not the correct nose profile.

Large aircraft, four engines, wide body, civilian airliner low wing, it's either a 747 or an A380, and it ain't no A380.

It's been confirmed to be a 747-400 operated by National Air Cargo.

He did say that, and a dog was barking/whimpering inside the vehicle.

This has been discussed on an aviation board I visit. ..the consent is stall on takeoff due to loadshift causing to become tail heavy...

I don’t think any audio was edited out. You can hear ambient noise, even breathing, but the only thing he says is the f word and shushes the whimpering dog.

This appears to have been taken by American soldiers on patrol. I don’t know about you, but I was speechless as I watched it happen.

Maybe, but there is a small dog in the vehicle. It whimpers at 03:34:04 and he shushes it.

Load shift, nose jumps up, at 5 sec you see from the plane’s exhaust that the pilot realized what happened and pushed max throttle to no avail, plane stalls, flattens, and then falls from the sky.
