Have been hearing all the discussions about allowing gays in boy scouts teams. I too am concerned like most of us about seeing gay members in boy scouts teams along side my son's bed. Its as good/bad as allowing a girl to be in a boy scouts team where there is a great chance for the weaker(/sarc) sex to get molested. Instead why not have an exclusive gay scouts team where everyone can feel at home. I'm sure there is no way that can be called discrimination as we already have been discriminating 'boy scouts' and 'girl scouts' for ages.
There have been gay scouts since scouting began. We had gay kids in our troop back in 1973. But we did not care because our identity was not based on what we did with our penises. We were not doing anything with our penises.
We were taught about loyalty, and trust-worthiness. We learned about team work. We learned about how the world worked.
Our sexuality was not even a consideration.
I am so sick of seeing how people define themselves by what they do with their sex organs.

My point is that if kids were left to themselves, it would not be an issue. We had kids who turned out gay. No one beat them up. They did not try to sodomize anyone. We were 12 or 13 for God’s sake.
I am not advocating gay leadership. I am not advocating gay instruction.
I am saying, leave the kids alone. They are more tolerant and less interested in this stuff than the adults are.
Apparently girls are not just Explorers now but actually in the regular Boy Scouts.
please. I hope BSA goes bankrupt and shuts down if this is enacted.

Nope. Reality did not die in the 60’s.
Gays don’t want separate groups just for gays. They want to force themselves where they’re not wanted, and they want to force straights to have to accept them and say that they’re normal.
Not a problem.
First of all, it would be impractical to form an all-gay scouts group. Not even an issue. With the small percentage of the population that is gay, and an even smaller percentage that would even be interested in the activities of Scouting, it would be impractical.
Second, there have always been, IIRC, Scouts, though rare, who are attracted to the same gender, however, the BSA has not been forward with people excercising indiscretion about one’s sexual behavior, regardless of whether or not you are homosexual. Discussions about our girlfriends may have happened in a private context, and some scouts may have been gay, but plenty of the actual scouts were generally discrete about it if they actually were.
What has come along to the BSA, and a lot of the world at large, is about fanning your properly private sexual attractions and/or behaviors out for everyone to know about. It’s not proper, but hey, so long as plenty of private organizations can end up getting shut down, you can throw in plenty of statist ideology ones to replace them, and never mind the mounting national debt, mounting inflation, or the nuclear armaggeddon behind the curtain.
How about just leaving the Scouts alone?
Thank you all very much for your kind and encouraging words about my first thread. As many of you stated this is not about whether it’ll materialize or not. It’s more of ‘Prevention is better than cure’ approach. Some times when things seep in so deep over such a long period of time, we gotta admit that it’ll take as long in getting rid of them too.
Lets put it this way. As someone beautifully stated, when a man and woman unite the result is procreation. The result of a homosexual activity is an immunity disorder syndrome which eventually can kill you. As in smoking , can we work towards getting a warning tag added -“ Homosexual activity is injurious to health” - wherever homosexual agenda is promoted. I know most of you feel that this one step takes us nowhere. But the longest of journeys start with a simple first step. Just a thought!
