Tired of striking out at the singles bars? Then you might want to try a Virgin America flight.
The airline has launched a new service that allows passengers to send a drink to someone on the plane who's caught their eye.
It's done through the airline's in-flight entertainment system. Passengers pinpoint their designated hottie with Virgin's digital seat map, browse the menu and have a drink, snack or meal sent over.
Passengers can also follow up with a text through the seat-to-seat messaging system.
Virgin launched the service this week to mark the start of its Los Angeles to Las Vegas service, but it's available on all of its U.S. flights.

The thread is about an airline named Virgin,
And you start talking about going down.
Unfortunately you thought the airplane was crashing.

Wonderful. Women are going to love this. If some creepy lecher sends a woman a drink and tries to flirt with her in a bar, at least she can leave the bar. Now shes a captive audience. No. TSA will be waiting at the gate for the guy, and charge him with terrorist activities.

I can see it now...Virgin being sued after one of their passengers was stalked, assaulted or murdered by another passenger whose in-flight flirting was not only encouraged, but enabled by the airlines.

So you’re saying that the in-flight TV gets The Discovery Channel?

Guy gets the in flight ‘mace’ of his drink in his face.
From four different directions.

I’m assuming passengers will have to “opt-in” by logging on to a specific section of the inflight entertainment system, otherwise nothing will happen.

“Tired of striking out at the singles bars?”
So... now I can strike out on an airplane?
To: Slings and Arrows
I’m assuming there will also be a way to not have your seat assignment listed as accepting drinks or texts. Could be creepy while on a flight.

How long until you can rent a mile high club closet for 10-15 minute intervals during the flight? And then charge the rest of the passengers $7.99 to watch it on the in-flight entertainment system?

Of all the flying I’ve done I’ve spent a grand total of about 10 hours in any class higher that baggage class...and both times I was traveling alone. The bathrooms I’ve encountered in baggage class...even on the A380...just about allows me to get my pants down and then back up.It’s hard to imagine being able to do anything more “adventurous”.
