'nuf said. I would just like to add that the Google Doodle is Unscientific in the extreme. It shows in sequence, a new moon, an old moon, a third quarter moon, a full moon, and finally a first quarter moon, before repeating. Now how whacked is that? Furthermore, the moons all rise at sunset, making their nightly transit, just as the sun makes its daily transit, regardless of phase. And furthermore than that, just to unburden myself, the moons translate across the sky without change of orientation. Contrafactual, but I guess it's supposed to be cute.
So what does Earth Day represent? Mindless sentimentality, can be the only answer. And who do they have working there at Google? We know they're smart, don't we? Smarter than science, I guess. Science is for losers.

I'd show google the moon, but they'd chase after it.

Earth Day represents Marxism-Leninism. After all, Gaylord Nelson (who deliberately chose the hundredth anniversary of Lenin’s birth as the first Earth Day) was a big visionary predicting the end of the internal combustion engine et cetera . . .

Google are NWO Commies. What would you expect? They might as well just use the UN logo instead of Google.

From the article: “The doodle also features the cycle of seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter.”
Hey Google, some parts of the world experience six seasons.

Maybe earth day can have an animated doll of Lenin since it is his birthday. Or maybe they can have a Punch and Judy puppet show with Ira Einhorn (the founder of the most important Earth Day in Philadelphia) as Punch and Holly Maddox (the girlfriend he murdered) as Judy.

When I see something with doodle in the name, I don’t associate it with scientific facts, I associate it with entertainment.
