Spirit. They were everywhere but nowhere. The guitarist played with Hendrix and taught Van Halen. The drummer came from 1940's big band music, the bass player went on to play with Firefall and Heart, one keyboard player went to teach music at Berkley and the vocalist wrote scores for television shows and movies. The nidus for "Stairway to Heaven" came from its guitarist playing a chord melody to Jimmy Page. JMO...
