It's been a wild week...just wondering, what's been in your steady rotation to help smooth out the rough edges?
Here's my list for the last few days:
Moby Grape/ '69
Sun Ra/ Supersonic Jazz
Haydn/ Symphony No. 98
From speed metal to bubblegum pop... who cares, weigh in!
Son Volt= New album, right?
I Wanna Be a Warhol by the Alkaline Trio
Awesome album. Love ‘Pyramid’ as well.
Thank you for the Schubert... I need that tonight!
Iron Maiden - Killers
Brian Culbertson. Smooth, mellow, and so relaxing after a hard day. My favorite is “Secret Affair”. It’s an instrumental, but I made up my own lyrics to go with it. And his song “The Journey” is like that too, especially if you want to slip into a metaphysical state of mind while you’re being creative.
On the other hand if you feel like getting mad, listen to Meatloaf’s “Life Is A Lemon And I Want My Money Back!” A hard-driving song with easy to understand lyrics, telling us about all the bitter realities of life that we already know. I love that song, but listening to it affects my brain and makes me hyper.
Yep, and the way things are going I’ll probably wind up with all of them.
That is amazing.
Today I cranked up the Rush “Fly By Night” album.
UP THE IRONS!
Son Volt is the band and led by singer Jay Farrar. “Hearts and Minds” is off the new release “Honky Tonk”. Alternative country if I had to describe it.
Regular podcasts from Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Stoneface & Terminal. High energy long mixes, but not demanding of attention so it motivates and drowns out background noise without interfering with programming.
Music from Andain, Mat Zo, Motorcycle, Oceanlab fill the gaps.
Nonveus, nonveus, nonveus, nonveus, neoxnup all the survagy isanemouth!
Familiar with Son Volt...I was asking if they had a new album out, which you confirmed. thought I heard something about it on S/XM 60 recently
Blind Faith. Can't find My Way Home. A great song.
Music from 73-74. Savoy Brown, BTO, Bonnie Riatt, ZZ Top, Zappa, Bad Co., Joe Walsh.
