It was in the middle of a Democrat President's second term. Emboldened by re-election, he began to deceive the American people on a wide range of issues. He felt there was nothing that could touch him. In fact he blatantly lied to the American people time and time again feeling as if he could get away with anything.
But then it all went wrong. A citizen journalist who had taken jobs at 7-11, Mcdonalds and grocery stores got tired of the lies, and decided he had enough. He waited for the next lie to happen. And when it did, Matthew Nathan "Matt" Drudge took advantage and launched his career on the back of a Bill Clinton lie. In 1998, Drudge gained popularity when he was the first outlet to break the news that later became the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives on two charges, one of perjury and one of obstruction of justice, on December 19, 1998. He was acquitted by the Senate on February 12, 1999. Requiring a two-thirds majority for a conviction, only 50 senators (out of 100) voted guilty on the obstruction charge and 45 on the perjury charge. The Senate was 17 votes short of removing Clinton from office.
Today we have a similar situation. A President in the middle of his second term, feeling emboldened by a reelection victory who has possibly bitten off more than he can chew. And now we have another Patriot, Glenn Edward Lee Beck, attempting to launch his own network. This time it could be on the back of a lie or lies by one Barack Obama.
We will find out Monday.
If that many senators have anything like this, they would step forward together. There is safety in numbers. They could also stop the senate dead in their tracks. The way the senate works, they could hold every item in every committee.
If there are six senators that know this stuff, they should be identified and brought up on charges for obstruction of justice.
I call BS.
If they bring this stuff out, the MSM will be all over them. They'll be called outright liars. They'll say they fudged the documents. They'll say anything to stop this. The senators will be right in the line of their fire.
If Beck does it, the news gets out from a different source first. The senators can see what the backlash is going to be and decide how to deal with it, because it's really nasty stuff. They just need Beck to soften the blow first.
I found something in a news article that seemed unimportant, and may have been overlooked by most, but if this is what Beck has, it's huge.
I don't think it was the gun bill failure oboma was furious about. I think he knows other people know what happened in Boston - and they can prove it.

The malfeasance of the MSM is an insult to America, but I'm not so worried about their refusal to ignore real news anymore.
The "new" media has gained greatly in stature since Drudge. News can no longer be buried without a trace the way it used to be. Word doesn't spread as loud and wide without MSM assistance, but spread it does.
But I too hope Glenn has big rocks to throw and not just a disappointment.

Because we talk to each other does not mean the rest of the country knows WTF we are talking about. Nor, my fellow citizen of a soon-to-be Latin American country, does the majority seem to give a Shiite.
