When we write about customer disputes at fast food joints, it usually involves the cops showing up to put an end to things. But heres a tale of an impatient police officer who has been accused of pulling his gun on the car in front of him at the McDonalds drive-thru.
WXIA-TV reports that the incident occurred on April 9 in Forsyth County, GA. The officer, a detective with the DeKalb County Police, pulled into the drive-thru and ended up behind a truck.
[W]e were waiting on them to cook the food, says the driver, who happens to work at that McDonalds but was just picking up some food with friends at the time of the confrontation. And the cop I didnt know at first that he was a cop pulled up behind us and waited about two minutes, two to three minutes . And he got out and started yelling, yelling at us, Stop holding up the drive-thru line, this that and the other. He walked back over to his car, got back in, and I said, Sorry for the inconvenience, Sir. And he goes, Who has the loud mouth? And I was, like, I said that, not being smart or anything. Hes like, Well, you never know who youre messing with. And I was just like, No, Sir, I dont. He goes, Keep your mouth shut. I was like, Im sorry. Hes like, Well, you dont know who youre messing with. And theres some crazy people out there. And thats when he pulled the gun on me, and kept on yelling at me for about thirty more seconds. And then walked off.
The 18-year-old says the detective pointed the gun at his neck while shouting things like You dont know who you are [expletive]-ing with, and You never know who you are [expletive]-ing with.
The passengers in the truck took down the license plate and noted the details of the mans car as he drove off. One of them had noticed a badge on the gun-wielders belt. Along with security camera footage of the incident, this was enough for the Forsyth County Sheriff to locate the suspect, who was later identified in a photo lineup by the people in the truck that night.
We believe, right now, that it was his duty weapon, and a DeKalb-County-issued vehicle that he was in, says the Sheriff.
The detective has been charged with felony aggravated assault. He was released from custody the next day on a $22,000 bond and has been placed on administrative leave.
Yet liberals appear to be perfectly happy with the idea of the citizenry being disarmed and only law enforcement being allowed to carry guns.
Well, there’s good news and bad news for those in that car.The bad news is that he/she/they probably need a change of underwear. The good news is that they just won the lottery!
Yes, isn’t the notion that the taxpayers will pay for the actions of a government thug so heartwarming?
I wonder if this cop would be able to pass a background check.
This person may end up in jail at the very least it looks like they just might lose their job.
An internal investigation has determined that there was no wrongdoing by the officer. /just predicting...
Yep, liberals, you’re so right, only the police and army should have guns.
“He was released from custody the next day on a $22,000 bond and has been placed on administrative leave.”
Translation: his government employee buddies bailed him out and he was given a paid vacation.
Just what would happen to any non-government employee who pulled a gun on someone in a drive-through.
Sounds like he’s suffering the symptoms of ‘Roid Rage from steroid abuse. Maybe we should have a federal investigation into steroid use by members of law enforcement since the taxpayer picks up the cost of their actions.
Liberals don't even want the army to have guns. Ft. Hood was a gun free zone which permitted Nadil Hasan to go on a shooting spree without challenge.
Another “Officer Friendly” candidate.
Administrative leave? Its either a felony or a mental breakdown. Both will prohibit you from carrying a weapon.

Who you going to trust with a gun, if you can’t trust a cop? Yourself?
And they keep telling us that only trained Law Enforcement should have guns, because average citizens might turn the country into the wild west.

When I go to a fast food place and they have to cook, they ask me to pull up to a parking place and they bring the food out. That has happened several times at different places. I do not want to block the lane for the ones behind me. Just being nice.
