If they can make me accept Van Alden from Boardwalk Empire as General Zod, they are miracle workers.

I have to agree, why are they rehashing the same story again and the same villain?

They don’t have to change Superman’s back story, they just don’t have to feature it in every movie.

I can only watch Jor El send him off, and the mother worries about it, and Pa Kent inspires him and he does super stuff as a kid,so many times. And then I get to see General Zod again.

Hollywood has gotten extremely lazy. They decided to do Spider-Man's origin story too, a decade after it was done fine the first time. The fact that movie was financially sucessful has just encouraged more garbage like this. (next up: they're "remaking" Carrie AGAIN, as if they needed to after remaking it in 2002)

I get that Superman is a popular cash cow. But if they had an ounce of creativity, they would have kept the excellent cast Brandon Routh but "rebooted" it in a way to come up with a bold NEW cinematic story, like setting the film in the 1930s and have Superman fight Metallo, or doing a movie adaptation of the "death and return of Superman" storyline where he's killed by Doomsday early on, and four sucessor "Superman" emerge claiming to be his heir apparent, and battle amongst themselves. If they REALLY wanted to be bold, they do the "Superman: Red Son" storyline and show what would happen if Superman grew up in the Soviet Union and became a force for Communism instead of freedom.

But if this worthless film makes money, they'll followup with an "exciting" movie about a "rebooted" Lex Luthor investing in real estate and trying to kill Superman with kryponite. Oh joy.
