For years TV Guide Magazine has told you what's worth watching, but what about what's worth hearing over and over again? In the best TV theme songs, lyrics can summarize the backstory or comment on characters, while instrumentals can sell the mood or set the scene. Just try reading this list of shows without getting a few of their songs stuck in your head.

My all time favorite tv show music was from Adventures In Paradise. Adam Troy and the TiKi. That show made me fall in love with Hawaii.

No “Magnum, P.I.”?!? No “U.F.O.”? No “Star Trek The Next Generation”? No “Six Million Dollar Man”?
But they include:
This list is bunk....
No “Howdy Doody” theme song? Maybe the compilers are too young.
I love the SpongeBob theme....
Also kudos for SpongeBob for using the old classic NFL Films music in some of their cartoons, like the opening of the Mermaid Man/Barnacle Boy episodes.
All in the Family is #1 for me. Others i thought about were The A Team....Knight Rider...Greatest American Hero for me.
RAWHIDE
The Lone effin Ranger (william tell overture)
Sgt freakin Preston (Donna Diana overture)
Navy Log (The Navy Hymn)
Adventures in Paradise
Alcoa Presents (haunting stuff)
The list had Peter Gunn and Green Acres, which is good.
ditto for the drums at the start of Hogan’s as in dragnet and highway patrol. A few notes in and it’s your favorite show!
I liked the Maude theme as well, mainly because the late, great Donnie Hathaway sang it.
The Scarecrow Of Romney Marsh (opening theme)
...by the same guys who sang the Ballad of Gilligan's Island, the Wellingtons.
Also themes to “Combat!” and “Black Sheep Squadron.”
What a bizarre list.
You are probably all too young to remember any of these.
Not me! I remember them all.
How can Mission Impossible not be in the top ten?
