You don't understand the mindset of anti-gunners. They aren't against guns. They are against ordinary citizens with guns. They worship the power of the state. They probably read Solzhenitsyn and realize that armed citizenry is a check to unlimited government power. This will never do. To people like Schemer any thing that puts a check on what the government can do is evil. Good citizens/bad citizens - these concepts are irrelevant and long as the citizens are powerless to resist the government. You will notice that all of their proposals exempt the police.

Anti-gunners like Schemer cannot be bargained with. First they NEVER keep their side of the bargain, and Second, they have nothing to offer. They demand everything from you and give nothing in return. Their idea of a compromise is to demand you give up A, B, C, and D and then settle for "only" taking A, B, and C. Immediately they'll come back and then demand that the D "loophole" be gotten rid of.

They cannot be reasoned with. Many people make the mistake that if they present a logical argument anti-guners will see the eror of their ways. Not true. Anti-gunners' objectives are not based on logic except the relentless logic that a disarmed populace is a populace helpless to resist the most extreme excesses of the government. And that is their end goal. and I quote "A populace where only the police and military are armed."

They feel no remorse. When they're successful at taking some of your rights, they feel elation , but immediately start working on taking the rest.

And they never stop, ever. There are only three outcomes possible

1. They win and we are enslaved with the jackboot of government on our necks forever
2. We are killed by their beloved police heroes "resisting"
3. We kill enough of them and their goons so that their menace is temporarily abated.

I think you missed the whole point. Your statement holds true only if YOU are holding the gun. If it is them, or the government holding it, then the gun is good and lawful thing.
