If I could figure out how to post screenshots from my phone I would. However, shortly after today's Boston Marathon bombing a friend posted an interesting page he found on Facebook titled: To All Those Injured In The Boston Marathon Explosions.
The Join Facebook date for that page was April 13, 2013.
I took two screen shots from my phone just in case the page got scrubbed. It did. I'm told the average Joe user cannot manipulate dates like that.
Pages get deleted for violations of the Terms of Service at Facebook. It happens a lot.
No, that’s not the date that the “person” joined, but that’s the date that the “Page” was created. And once a page is created, the name can be changed later in the future. So ... you just create a page, sit around and wait for some big “news event” - change the name to that news event - and “get a lot of likes” ... :-)
Do you see that he “Liked” a bunch of “news pages”. He was obviously waiting for a news event - and when he found one (that would get him a lot of attention) - then he changed the name of the page to that event. And then - he got a lot of “Likes” ... which is what he was trying to do in the first place.
Violations of the terms of service ... that will get your page deleted.
It’s explained by pointing out that it’s not the page. The page you’re referring to has a “period” at the end of it. The “period” counts as the name of the page.
You can change the name of the page after it’s created.
The name of a page doesn’t change according to whatever “status” you post. The name can be changed, but it has to be actively changed through a process that Facebook allows, and you have to go through the process of doing that. The name doesn’t change according to what you post.
It’s Urban Sasquatch
Does changing a page’s name change its created/joined date?
You Tube is already busy — fake smoke, fake victims, crisis actors, fake blood, fake glass — it’s all a Hoax.
Can’t wait to ignore their newest productions.
Noted.
The next thing we will hear is how one of the runners would have been killed except his clock was set to p.m., not a.m and he didn’t get up in time.
No, it doesn’t change the creation date ... only the name.
I suppose that was a fake bone I saw in a picture of a guy with his leg blown off!

Looks like a resident of the building picked a good spot to watch the finish of the marathon. Or to get a look at what caused the big kaboom.
It sure did.
Newtown happened on December 14th, 2012.
This Social Security Death Index entry shows Adam Lanza's date of death as 12/13/2102.
Yes I know, my wife told me. She is on facebook. I don’t want to be on facebook so I really know nothing about it, but she told me taht the date is the date the [age is created. Thanks for adding the point about creating these pages and then changing names to get a lot of likes. I guess that is important to some. Whatever floats their boat I say.
