The discovery of the Higgs boson is real. But physicists are cagey about whether the new particle they've found will fit their predictions or not.
So far, the data suggest that the Higgs, the particle thought to explain how other particles get their mass, is not presenting any surprises, physicists said here today (April 13) at the April meeting of the American Physical Society. But that doesn't mean that it won't in the future or that there might not be other Higgs bosons lurking out there.
"There's a large number of theoretical models that predict, actually, that this Higgs field is more complicated," said Markus Klute, a physicist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Some of these theories predict five or more Higgs bosons of different masses, Klute told reporters.

mirror mirror off the wall where do those quantums fall are they here are they there in my hair under your chair
The laugh is when they get where there they find them self(s)
God is in the details
This is insane.
A sub-atomic particle is only observable by the effects or traces it leaves behind.
Any and all of these particles exist in a “Field” that change as a result of observation.
Whether there is more or less to the Higgs, doesn’t change anything, other than the ideological spin in the popular press.
Science has gone Meta !!!
And BTW,
I contend that when man exhausts his ability for new discoveries, it will mark the end.
Yeah Z. I agree with everything you said xcept for that last word. I would replace "end" with this...OMEGA..cuz drift jest splained ittin it toomy. OMEGA.. I dinna remember ettin that
Sounds like you just want to hear yourself talk. What’s your point?
And the grants just keep on coming...
They’ve also discovered the anti-Higgs Boson Particle, or Big Boson for short...
