A wild storm will bring plunging temperatures and heavy snow from Colorado to Minnesota during the middle of the week.
Areas from Denver to Rapid City, S.D., Casper, Wyo., and Scottsbluff, Neb., will have blizzard conditions in store spanning Monday night and Tuesday.
Several hours of whiteout conditions, combined with temperatures plunging into the teens and wind gusts between 40 and 50 mph will make for dangerous travel conditions.

Watch for those lowlying dark scud clouds to the Nort and Nortwest.....that will be a sign things are about to change dramatically!
Thank you E at the B...I’ll be on the lookout. :)
Meanwhile as I write it is over 70 df, in Philly.
Bring it on, we got bread and eggs and vodka. Russian Toast!!
LOL back in the late 70s I had that experience.
I was sliding wide on a curve and into the ditch but I had a lot of momentum and the rf wheel grabbed on the culvert pipe under a driveway.
Needless to say that was the end of a rusty Vega.
It’s a C-R-I-S-I-S
and the Weather Channel MSNBC is already hyping a “deadly” above average hurricane season.
Yeah, It’s -0 here in Fairbanks with snow. Same forecast for the next week! Last year I was riding motorcycle by mid-April. At this rate, I will be lucky if it’s mid-May!
Sounds like CLIMATE CHANGE to me.
Well, out ahead of it here in NW Iowa it’s the nicest day of the year so far. The first day it’s really warmed up. Low 70s.
Hmmm...Better go split just a little more wood...
Weather changed dramatically about an hour ago. We are experiencing 20+ mph sustained winds and 40+ mph gusts.
It’s crazy with the winds right now. In Aurora. Loving it though.
OH! That high temp distresses me so much! I have been outside digging like a mad person in my backyard, neighbor gave me sod to put in there. We have covered the sod with tarps to try to protect it from this cold. Been able to go out all weekend in t-shirt & short pants to work from daybreak through the day... glad I haven’t put the cold weather jacket up yet.
My mom and I passed by a residence today and they had a garden in their front yard. They had put out baby tomato plants. So cute. So toast unless they can get some kind of protection. :( Best wishes for the sod. Crazy change in the weather.
wore shorts to walk to the store. we are set. doing green chili pork stew in the crock pot and i have enough paint for model building. no place we have to be and i can use the exercise shoveling. no moisture as yet but blowing hard and looking nasty. 1930 mst.
must be a newbie, never plant outside before mother’s day, and even that iffy.
well, they got one part of the forecast wrong for us, no rain, pelting snow, like needles when it hits. minor ground blizzard and it just started.

Yes, my mom said in May is the best time. I'm not a gardener so I didn't know either until she pointed it out.
Nothing in Aurora yet that I can see. Good luck with you and the sod.
Of course it’s Global Warming (TM)! Everything can be blamed on global warming nowadays! /sarc
But I can remember weather like that .
I want brutal but we are just getting stupid rain right now. :(
