A devastated Detroit teen could only watch as her neighbor shot dead her tiny pet Chihuahua because the man felt threatened.

Yeppers - I had a Red Coon mix when growing up in the outer edges of the suburbs - he was never so happy as when we spent the day in the woods and fields so he could run and range and do other doggy things.
He had time to go in the house and get his gun, but she didn’t have time to get her little yapper, after he had asked her to put the dog on a leash?
Yeah, he really, really over-reacted, but the owner bears a lot of the responsibility for her dog’s death.
I’ve got a fenced half acre for my dogs which is fine for a Jack Russell and a Corgi mix.
The Corgi is kind of a lump but the Jack is constantly hunting. He’s sitting here next to me watching the yard for non flying vermin.
That bastard should be lynched!!
She was an idiot turning the poor animal loose in that setting...she wasn’t even concerned that her pet might be hit by a car? Irresponsible pet owner. Period. Shame the dog had to pay the price.
The teen failed to control her dog, so someone else controlled it for her.
That is all.
Teacup poodle to mastiff, a barking dog that shows it's teeth within 10 feet of me or my wife is going to wind up dead.
“bait dog”.
That’s not what they are for? Really?
For whatever reason dog's love me. But the closest I ever came to be bitten was by a snarling, nasty, chihuahua.
They use small dogs to train pit bulls for fighting.
Are there any sane people left in Detroit?
Now who could be afraid of something so cute!
I was attacked by a pack of wild Chihuahuas once, I wasn’t aware of it for the first 15 minutes or so, until my partner came out and pointed it out to me.
First mistake the reporter made was in referring to this piece of human waste as a man!
I once thought I would have to shoot a dog to defend myself and it scared the hell out of me. First, i was worried about missing the dog and where the bullet would go, and secondly I have a dog of my own and wouldn’t want anything to happen to him. Anyone who shoots an aggressive chihuahua instead of giving it a swift boot is just looking to kill an animal. I bet he is the same type of guy that swerves toward cats in the road.
I always use Joe Biden’s advice and use a shotgun.
Don’t people know now to defend themselves against these dogs? Only two words are needed;
“Taco Bell.”
lol.
Guy is toast in court. You cannot shoot a pet in front of a child, there are law to that effect. We had a cop claim our dog was eating his chicken, came over to our ranch and shot our dog in the yard. IA did their follow up and when meeting him in front of Internal Affairs they turned to him and told him if we pressed charges he would loose his badge forever. He appologised and we dropped the charges.
By the way, our dog was tied up at the time he claimed his chickens were killed. But he never asked, he just yelled at us, pulled out his service revolver (dressed in civies) and shot the dog.
IA told us if there had been children present we could not have let him off the hook, they would have pressed charges because of the law.
