Democratic Rep. Diana DeGette drew national criticism Wednesday for remarks made at a public forum in which she said banning high-capacity in ammunition magazines would be effective in reducing gun violence because "the bullets will have been shot and there won't be any more available."
Her office just released a statement to counter this video -- but did not help the fact that progressives like DeGette - just don't Gette it!
Juliet Johnson issued a statement Wednesday, saying the congresswoman mispoke.
“The Congresswoman has been working on a high-capacity assault magazine ban for years, and has been deeply involved in the issue; she simply misspoke in referring to ‘magazines’ when she should have referred to ‘clips,’ which cannot be reused because they don’t have a feeding mechanism,” Johnson said. “Quite frankly, this is just another example of opponents of common-sense gun violence prevention trying to manipulate the facts to distract from the critical issue of keeping our children safe and keeping killing machines out of the hands of disturbed individuals. It’s more political gamesmanship that stands in the way of responsible solutions.”

One caller claimed that he would be saving thousands of dollars a year now that he learned that he can refill mugs and drinking glasses instead of throwing them away after a single use. Then another caller claimed that he was saving $30,000 a week by not having to buy a new car when his old one ran out of gas.
This idiot is now my Rep., the redistricting has put me in her district. She is one of the most leftist, stupid and inept congressional reps in the Country AND she’s dug in deeper than a Texas tick. She keeps winning and winning and winning, why? The “voters” in her district are on the dole in the more economically depressed part of Denver, however, with more and more areas coming under her district she will find many more voters disgusted and fed-up with her stupid, Obama rubber-stamping voting record. I know the man who ran against her and, predictably, he lost. DeGette plays dirty and very hard so unless Coloradans start to wake up we’re stuck with this RED and corrupt “woman”.

Apparently this moron's staff doesn't know how guns work either. Last time I checked, Garand, Mauser, Enfield, and SKS clips can be reloaded, over and over and over again.
What?? I always thought guns came loaded with ammo and when they were empty, you threw them away! That’s what they do in the movies.
Once those magazines are used send them to my place for safe disposal.
