Loved those scenes too. I noticed that when Daenerys walked away from Drogo, he seemed to go into a trance. Was this just magic or was it his ghost?

On HBO, sadly, yes. The bar was lowered long ago on the ‘movie channels’. That’s why we don’t get them in our house. Even our grown children were somewhat embarrassed watching Game of Thrones with us (we’d gotten the first disc from Netflix) I might get it again later, and watch it by myself, but it’s certainly not family viewing, even with grown children.
I've read all the books, and enjoyed them. And if HBO is being graphic with the homosexual scenes, then they're really stretching the material. In the books, a homosexual relationship is implied, but no activity is ever described.
