BERLIN (AP) — An entire troupe of performing fleas has fallen victim to the freezing temperatures currently gripping Germany.
Flea circus director Robert Birk says he was shocked to find all of his 300 fleas dead inside their transport box Wednesday morning.
The circus immediately scrambled to find and train a new batch ..

I saw a flea circus in Atlantic City when I was a kid. From what I remember, it starts with putting a thin wire around their neck, and it takes about a week. They don’t realy do much but juggle and kick a styrofoam pellet around. They had a Ben Hur type chariot race set up too with two little fleas pulling each tiny wire chariot around the track with another flea inside.
Must be tiny whips.
