I am still learning how to tell when a persimmon is ripe.

What kind of persimmon tree? There are several different types. Black persimmons are the wild ones, orange persimmons are either small or the size of tennis balls.

Well, danged if I know. We didn’t plant it. We discovered in on the extra lot we bought when we built our house. Not sure when it got started.

The flesh is orangish. The outside is kinda peachy looking color, with a little black and gets kinda blackish/purple as things go along but the orange/peach never goes away completely.
