Saudi Arabia beheads murderer… and then CRUCIFIES his body

It's a regional tradition that predates Islam. When you read in the Old Testament about someone being "hanged" they mean the public display of an executed body.

Maybe the part about crucifying the body was a little too much. Decapitation would seem to be sufficient with no further action.

This form of public display is tame compared to what was the rule pre-1964.Before the 'reforms' of that year, the crucifixion would have been just that, an actual, just like Jesus of Nazareth, crucifixion.

It is only utilized, supposedly, in the most heinous of crimes. The last time I heard of the newer version being applied, it was to a man convicted of matricide. For it to be used in this case seems a little out of place, as the crime described isn't all that uncommon in 'The Magic Kingdom'...

One thing about the Arabs.

They at least have the stones to take care of business.

They ain’t a bunch of wussified metrosexuals who went to law school, put up with political correctness, hold all the “candlelight vigils” (yeah, like that’s gonna change a single dam thing!!) or get all blubbery wearing a green ribbon or a yellow ribbon or some other stupid ribbon!

We’ve been conquered.
The lawyers, the queers, the bankers, the illegal immigrants...
We’ve been conquered.
