Few signs of spring are being found in parts of the Midwest as a snowstorm tracks eastward mostly along Interstate 70, bringing heavy snow and high winds.
Two people killed in weather-related crashes were identified, dozens of Palm Sunday services were cancelled throughout Missouri, and about 100 flights were scrapped at Lambert Field in St. Louis.
Winter storm warnings and advisories have been issued for Sunday and Monday as far east as Pennsylvania.
The storm dumped 7 to 9 inches of snow from eastern Kansas into central Missouri before tapering off Sunday morning, said Dan Hawblitzel, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in suburban Kansas City.
In the central Missouri town of Columbia, TV station KOMU was briefly evacuated Sunday morning because of high winds and a heavy buildup of snow on the broadcast tower next to the building.

Why dontcha just put a plow blade on the front of her pickup, and that way she can make a little extra clearing parking lots during her lunch hour?

Now, don't go all PC on me. Let's call 'em what they are --- Assault Vehicles.
Even worse -- he's a local embarrassment, wherever he goes.
You may not be interested in the weather, but it sure is interested in you :-)
Especially in hotels where he is demanding masseuses to “find his chakras”..
That whole story is a classic example of the left protecting their sex offenders..
Hey man, us lower 48'ers have a natural respect for our American brothers and sisters who live in the frozen North. Especially those of us in the South West.
Well that would be something different...
A snowplow on a Pontiac Aztek?
yeah I know it gets dissed a lot but funny thing is that controversial car/SUV does a decent job getting around up here in Alaska, it has a higher ground clearance than a Subaru, its over $10,000 cheapers, its square boxy front end is safer in case of a moose strike that would otherwise send the animal right through the windshield of a lower slung car.
I do have a full sized Blazer I may put a plow on, or maybe some day on my Silverado dually. They are not cheap, but the school district has a provision that the state MUST plow to the end of my driveway so the school bus drivers can get the kids to the propaganda centers, so its just that 150’ of driveway I have to clear with my snowblower, gonna get dressed in about 10 minutes to head out and get er done.
Well damn. No wonder I'm sitting here in my jammies, all layered up and still feeling cold! Think I'll go kick the furnace up a notch or two....brrrrrrrr!

It’s my own fault for needing the occasional breath of fresh air.
What you should have is envy. I lived next door to Alaska for 25 years. It’s not all of God’s country — but, it’s certainly a good part of it.
Mind you, I often envied people in warmer climes — especially when clearing my driveway (about 3 times longer than Eye of Unk’s), or trying to get my 4X4 moving at 50 below.
150 ft. isn’t that bad. Have a good day, and drive safe in that concrete truck.
An engine heater and synthetic gear lube in the pumpkins helps a bunch...
I really should get up to see Alaska one day. I know the grandeur there surpasses most anything we have in the lower 48.
But I've got to travel the breadth of my adopted state of Texas first, and absorb ever ounce of its natural beauty. I'm pretty sure this is where my bones are going to turn to dust.
It was so hot in South Florida yesterday, it literally felt like I was opening an oven door when opening the car door or house door. Could use some winter down here this. We didn’t get one. At all. Usually get at least a few months of 70’s. This year was only a few days.
It is 29 in Tulsa this morning. We had some snow yesterday
It’s up to us to continue calling it “global warming.” Don’t let the weasels get away with “climate change.”
i finished clearing the 8 inches or so on the driveway and now after a shower because I get soaking wet I am kicking back for a little bit before I head out to work.
Gotta make me an LED headlight on the machine, like at the least a bicycle lamp, its a mid sized snowblower but doesn’t have an external lamp. And of course its pitch black dark where i live and the yard light dosn’t reach all the way down the driveway.
I told my wife last year we’d be paying last year’s warm March. We are.
