Wanted: Children who have past life memories: Reality show's bizarre casting call

There have been shows on toddler beauty pageants, raising multiples, and children living with other peoples’ wives. But now, a pair of producers is hoping to feature children who have lived past lives.

Hoping to find children who ‘have inexplicable memories and experiences of another life,’ the producers insist that past-life memories are real and somewhat common.

Speaking with the Huffington Post, husband-and-wife producers Joke Fincioen and Biagio Messina hope to find children, aged 2-10, who have inexplicable memories that seem to be from past lives.

‘We wanted to tell these parents’ stories without trying to prove or disprove them.’

Their show, ‘Ghost Inside My Child,’ is slated to air later this year on Bio Channel following the airing of the pilot episode.

Ms Messina told the Post: ‘These kids are going through something and we’re trying to figure it out. A kid will say something about their life and we research it to see if it pans out.’

The casting call cites a preference for American families who have solid evidence of their child’s previous life memories, be they drawings, pictures, or video footage showing the child acting strangely.

In the pilot, they talk to a family of a boy who dreamt of his own death. However, the two-year-old boy wasn’t just afraid of his own mortality – he specifically remembered going down in a fighter jet.

Not only the Germans had jets in combat, the ME-262 and He 162; but the British had the Gloster Meteor that was used against the V-1s in late 1944 and was deployed to the continent in early 1945. The Bell XP-59 was being test flown, but never produced. Also, theLockheed P-80 was being test flown and would have been deployed if the war had gone into 1946. Major Richard Bong, the top US ace of WWII was killed doing test flying of the P-80.

When one of my sons was about 4 yrs old he was convinced that we had both been alive together previously. He was very upset when I didn’t remember and he said to me “Yes, you know, we both got sick and died. First you died, and then I died.” He was adamant that this was a true memory. Even now we have an uncanny, almost telepathic closeness.

You don’t sound like an atheist. You don’t simply dismiss your dreams and those of your mothers. Perhaps you are just an agnostic.

Athiest is perhaps the wrong word.

Thanks for the ping. I’m glad they are doing this. Some people do have such memories, and those memories should be studied.

“Soul Survivor” I think was his book. I especially like, the reunion he went to, and met the men he served with.

Yes, I remember reading about that reunion. He instantly recognized everyone present. Amazing stuff.

One more attempt to slam Christian beliefs...

Well you can take it that way if you like, but I didn't even see a subtle dig against Christianity in the article. This is simply a topic of interest to many people, and has been for all of human history.

I didn't have the dream again after seeing that photo.

Even physicists are now coming to agree that time is not linear. We may know much of what is yet to happen - because it already happened.

The idea of reincarnation puts a big dent in the revenues of fear-based religions, so of course they reject it. But one comes to understand that it not only happens but it is a voluntary process, then many inexplicable things start to make sense. Chief among them that consciousness and awareness are far greater than the contents of an individual human brain.

Amazing. When my third child was little, he often would say things like, "when I was a man...",etc. I never queried him closely about what he recalled, but he'd talk about things with great familiarity that most small children wouldn't have the slightest clue about. I would always just listen and acknowledge him. Even now that he's in his thirties, he still remembers some of it.
