Does anyone understand the gut level hatred so many men seem to have for cats? Some me will go out of their way to be mean to a cat.

They are bad people, IMHO. A person’s true nature is revealed by how they treat cats and dogs.

Does anyone understand the gut level hatred so many men seem to have for cats? Some me will go out of their way to be mean to a cat. Former Marine (male) here- some of my best friends are cats. I have a 'special needs' kitty that I got from the pound some years ago conked out in the living room at the moment. Most of my male friends are fond of cats in particular, or like animals generally.

I suspect old Sigmund Freud knew or would have had an opinion. He had some deep insights into the weird hatreds and fears people sometimes had.
