Counter intuitive is right. Did you figure out how to turn off the computer yet? Windows 8 doesn’t make it obvious at all. I had to go look for the way to do it on Google.
I had to go to Help go turn the thing off. I went to mail and it seemed like it locked up. They don’t want you to go back if you click on the wrong screen. Bookmarks is gone. I downloaded fire fox to try to bring it back but they don’t want me to use it either. Free Cell is gone. I could click on bookmarks then Free Republic and be there but not anymore. I think I need to find the right tool bar. They sure like cluttered screens.
Progress: Bigger and better mistakes.
You are sppsd to place the cursor in the top or bottom right corner of the screen, and hit the gear “settings” icon (or hold Windows key and tap the i key) , and then hit Power.
I us the old and safe Slawdog shutdown: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/smartshutdown.html, which will run in the system try, and then just right click on it for menu.
Or (if not on your desktop) hold Windows key and tap the d key and let go, then hold the Alt key and F4 and let go.
