I have never even really seen this Doctor.
Is he any good?
Eccleston and Tennant were excellent.
Smith took a while to get into the role. By his second season and since, he has become quite good.
Not really. He’s just okay.
I agree that Eccleston and Tennant were excellent. It would be great if they would bring back Eccleston.
I agree that 9 and 10 were more satisfying than 11, but I don’t blame Matt Smith. I think he’s a fine actor (too) and just had less consistently-interesting stories given to him.
I think 9 (Eccleston) is massively underrated.

I prefer Smith over Tennant, he’s not so manic.
If you liked them, then Matt Smith might not appeal to you. This is anecdotal, but I've found that those who like Matt Smith think that Tennant was too whiny. Maybe he was at times, but he was brilliant at others.
It could also be the writing that bothers me about Smith. It's uneven and tries to be cute far too much. Davies and Moffat were great together, but alone ... not as good as it should be.
I wish Eccleston had had another season so that the stories had a chance to take off.
