When I was in high school, several friends were throwing a rubber discus just for fun. They were throwing it in a safe area except one guy let it slip.

The discus had a blue “W” painted on it by one of the coaches I guess for identification. The misthrown discus hit a car almost right in the middle of the hood. When we retrieved it, the discus had branded a perfect “W” on the hood. It did not even look to have spun as it hit. We tried to rub it out and even wash it but nothing worked.

I have no idea what eventually happened.

Threw the discuss in High School - we had several rubber ones and one wooden one with a metal edge. I was practicing and over-rotated with a late release and it flew far and wide missing the football coach's head by maybe a foot. He never really like me much after that.
