Do Sardines put lead in your pencil, as do raw Clams and raw Oysters?

I do not like them, Dysart-I-am.
I do not like sardines and spam!

You might ask, “Would you like them here or there?”

I would not like them here or there.
I would not like them anywhere.

I've never had sardines -- by the look of them, I think I probably wouldn't like them much. Those eyes...Blech.

No, gimme a good piece of red meat any day...Excepting Fridays, of course.

Most definitely! When I was a kid my Mom would make sardine spread for sandwiches and i liked them.

Later on in life, I was re-introduced to eating sardines straight from the can and place them on saltines. I liked the sardines with chilis the best!

This thread got me wanting some again...

A little pricy but worth it as a threat.

Not really. Beef jerky is OK, though. It’s almost the same thing except that you can’t pack very many cows into those little bitty cans.

I love sardines packed in mustard.
As a side note to sardines, King Oscar is also famous for his contribution to science in a roundabout way as the patron of one of the earlier scientific prizes for demonstrable contributions in the advancement of mathematics. There is fantastic book that I bought years ago called “Celestial Encounters” that describes the build-up to the discoveries of set theory and chaos theory and related mathematics discoveries.

The expiration date is usually just a CYA move by the Mfrs. While nutritional content may degrade after that, a sealed and undamaged container will last a lot more than....t ashree years.     =;^)

I like them over pasta with maranara sauce.
