Sixteen people refused to co-operate with investigators and among the possible crimes under the grand jury's scrutiny will be failure to report a felony, failure to report child abuse and obstruction of justice.

MailOnline understands that interviews will be sought with all 19 of Steubenville High School's 'Big Red' team coaches. Texts read out in court revealed Coach Saccoccia, 63, was aware of an allegation of rape but did not act other than to assure his players that he could 'make it go away.'

In a series of incriminating texts sent from Mays to his victim on Monday 13 August he wrote: 'Reno just called my house and said we raped you.

“Make it go away” - it would be hilarious if it turns out that it’s Coach that goes away.

Planned Parenthood makes rapes of minors just “go away” without reporting them to the police.

Why is the media so fixated on this case but not what is known about a corrupt national organization that receives federal funding?

The liberal war on women continues.

The coach should be in prison.

That would have to include tampering with evidence, asking them to lie to investigators and other things.

EXCLUSIVE: Steubenville football coach may face charges for failing to report rape after he 'told two star players he'd "make it go away"'

Hmmmm, so a coach can face charges for not reporting a rape, what a concept!

This is the city which was in the news last year because the city dropped its seal after an atheist group sued over the fact that it included a cross (it showed the skyline including the cross over the chapel at Franciscan University).

These guys are all in trouble. Reporting sexual crimes against minors is required by law.

Just look at the Penn State fiasco. How many guys were fired, fined, and sued for not reporting? Even the President of the University.

Look at those sniveling little thugs, crying for themselves. What about the girl they raped? "My life is ruined!" Glad to see his collegiate football scholarship and likely pro football career flushed down the tube. They should have been charged as adults and then given 10-20 years hard time.

And I hope the grand jury indicts the coach and every one of those participants/spectators who did nothing.

I hope that the Grand Jury casts a wide net! Heathenism will be defeated by many tools. The leagal system is one of them.

I agree with other posters in that one sick part of this disaster is a NINETEEN -person football staff. Are any other subjects taught in the high school.

This is more rediculous than some Texas towns.
