Sunday evening's episode of the History Channel's hit series 'The Bible' threw up an awkward coincidence when viewers noticed that Satan bore a remarkable resemblance to President Obama.
Twitter exploded into life during the airing of the latest edition of the Mark Burnett-produced series with most noting the striking similarities between the 44th President and the devil played by actor Mehdi Ouzaani.
The show has been a surprise hit in the ratings, with the religious mini-series attracting 13.1 million viewers on Wednesday - topping television leviathan American Idol's 12.8 million viewers on Wednesday.

That series has a black actor as the angel Michael.
Well, it doesn’t look like he has his jug ears.
In the TV series, or the State of the Union?
“I am a little surprised at how violent the program is. Especially when the Angels come down to Sodom to destroy the city. Or perhaps the violence doesnt come across to me when I read the verses. Scary to see a Vengeful God. Hope I never see Him like that.”
What do you think the second coming is going to be? Laughs and giggles, Remember the flood?
My comment to my wife last night while watching the show was, “Hey look! They typecasted Satan as an old Obama!”

Oh, snap...
Read he is a Dem donator; not sure if he supported $$$ to BHO.
Jesus: I’’m a carpenter.
Satan: You didn’t build that.
Thanks for ping Perdogg. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Bible Series and my first time with HBO here at my brohters. I do not have cable back at home in Ohio and the few trials I had over the years with HBO it merely had on movies I had already seen at theater.
I did not notice the BHO resemblance last nght but surely did see it in the pix posted beginning early on Facebook.
It probably was a coincidence but I am glad Satan didn’t look like 43
What ‘cheap shot’ are you talking about? They’ve come out and addressed this silliness today. There was no intent with regards to obama.
Here’s a good story about the making of The Bible that I recently read:

The Bible Brought to Life
The successful producer of such shows as Survivor and The Voice faces his greatest professional challenge.
My wife, Roma Downey (you might know her from the role of Monica on the TV show Touched by an Angel), and I were having dinner. And Roma mentioned a documentary someone was doing on the Bible.
Roma thought the documentary focused too much on showing that God was harsh and unloving. It used examples like the millions drowned in the Genesis Flood and Gods demand of Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac.
She asked me, Why wouldnt they tell the true story of a loving God with a plan for all humanity? A God who sent his only Son to die for us all?
Then she spoke in that quiet, persuasive voice of hers, the one that Americans came to know so well from hearing it every Sunday night for over a decade.
Mark, we should do this. We should make a TV series on the Bible. Not unconnected Bible stories, but the overarching, sweeping, loving narrative. A dramatic rendition that goes from Genesis to Revelation. We could tell that story in five two-hour episodes. We could bring it to life.
I stared at her. It was an incredibly ambitious idea, and its not like we werent busy enough, raising three teenagers, and also producing some of the most demanding shows on TV (including The Voice and Survivor).
How can we possibly take this on, and how can we tell this story in only ten television hours? I asked, shaking my head.

I was watching last night and when I saw satan my first thought was “wow, he looks like Obama!” I even told my daughter last night when I was talking to her on the phone. I said I was gonna put something on Facebook and she said not to stir up trouble, so I didn’t. When I woke up this morning and went on FB, it was everywhere and then on FR. Guess I wasn’t the only one who saw the uncanny resemblance. Same evil eyes.
Lucifer considered it a cheap shot, not I.
I'd call it damned good news, but then I'm one of those who HATES the evil PøS
You heard this from Lucifer himself? Forget it, I honesty just don’t care. He looks like him/he doesn’t/what freakin difference does it make?!
Scary to see a Vengeful God. Hope I never see Him like that.
You will.
"Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. "
