Did`nt Mel Gibson`s crew have wild things happen to them when they filmed The Passion of the Christ?

Unfortunately too many are constantly told to keep them shut and we see the results of that today.

Not to try and throw cold water on this series, but many articles and reviews have revealed that the series is in no way Biblical in its message. One commentator said something akin to "Did these folks even read the Bible before they wrote the script?"
These so-called "strange happenings" are more than likely just that, strange happenings, not some supernatural confirmation from Heaven over the accuracy or inspiration of the series.

Duct — Have you watch either episode? It is worth watching. Folks are quibling over it didn’t include this or that or changed something; but considering the producers (who are independent of the history channel) are covering the entire Bible in 5 two hour shows, I believe it gives the person who is unfamiliar with the Bible at any level, except for being the object of attack by non-believers, is worth watching.
See also the other, earlier, thread on this same lead line.

As a Bible thumper, I have watched this series. For me, I thought they left out a LOT of scripture.
Then I started to think......I know the story behind Sodom and Gomorrah...but there are probably many who do not (lots of details left out).
Perhaps, in order to find out, they actually picked up their Bibles to find out.
Nothing wrong with planting a seed. If more people picked up their Bibles and started reading, studying and adhering to His teachings, the better off we will all be.

Reminds me of the weird things that happened when they filmed The Omen. I think it was the guy who filmed the decapitation scene died that week in a car crash where he was decapitated with a hubcap.
Powers beyond this world are as strong as ever it seems.

I'm not one to discount the "Hand of God" so easily. I'm not one to believe in "coincidence" and have seen some "strange happenings" I believe is Divine Power at work.
With that said, I didn't think much of the first episode. I watched it all the way through and couldn't believe it. Nothing on the story of Joseph! The Noah character/plot made me ill. The Sodom and Gomorrah ninja angels infuriated me. I would rather read the Bible than watch this presentation.

I watched the first couple of episodes, and my comment is, so far, so good.

They miss the message of the Bible, which is all pointing to Christ. As it is done so far, it’s just a collection of visual stories. Not impressive.

Well, they only had 10 hours, so they had to condense it.

I agree completely with your comment.
As far as leaving some things (Sodom, golden calf) out ... they are trying to make it appropriate for families to watch together and they seem to be using the most riveting stories in order to do it.

As a perpetual outsider, I've learned that it's like finding oneself in a foreign country and trying to learn the language and customs.
It's all around you and you can pick up bits and pieces, maybe enough slang to get by, but you don't truly understand things until you learn what the words mean, how to read the language and use it in your daily life.
Like with anything, the more you learn, the more you understand, "to those who have, more is given", until you see and understand the once foreign world around you, it's beauty, it's warnings and the dangers.
To those who don't understand, that beauty or the danger and all in between, is lost. It's just babbling gibberish.
