Chelsea Clinton Buying $10 Million NYC Apartment

File under: It's a wonderful world for children of elitists and crooked politicians,

Chelsea Clinton is buying a $10.5 million spread right across the street from Madison Square Park, reports NyPo. The apartment is 5,000 square feet and is located in the Whitman.

The unit at 21 E. 26th St. is four bedrooms, with 6 1/2 bathrooms, and the family room has a full view of the park.

The five-story building has one apartment per floor, and a key-locked elevator.

Chelsea, 33, and her husband Marc Mezvinsky, 35, according to NyPo, “live in the neighborhood and found the building on their own while out walking.”

Well, isn’t that special? Even more so when you remember the Clintons were worth $42,000.00 when they moved into the White House. Who says crime doesn’t pay?

Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Now he's got to deal with reality.

Got this in an email: “Who is Ed Mezvinsky?

Edward “Ed” Mezvinsky born January 17, 1937, is a former Democratic congressman. As a Democrat, he represented Iowa ‘s 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives for two terms, from 1973 to 1977. He sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon. He and the Clinton’s were very politically intertwined for years.

In March 2001, Mezvinsky was indicted and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 charges of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud. He was sentenced to 80 months in (Federal) prison.

Ed Mezvinsky embezzled more than $10 million dollars from people via both a ponzi scheme and the notorious Nigerian e-mail scams.

After serving five years in federal prison, he was released in April 2008. He remained on federal probation through 2011, and still owes $9.4 million in restitution to his victims.

So who is he? He’s Chelsea Clinton’s Father-in law.

Has anyone heard mention of this in any of the media? If this guy was Jenna or Barbara Bush’s, or better yet, Sarah Palin’s daughter’s, father-in- law, the news would be an every day headline.

Some say there is no double standard in politics . . . s-u-r-e there isn’t!”

Not bad for someone who would be living in a refrigerator shipping container were it not for her parents name.

The political class is sure prospering while the rest of the country is dying.

I’m not usually a proponent of class warfare except when it comes to the ruling class.

From Snopes:

Analysis: True. On July 31, Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, was married to Marc Mezvinsky, the son of former Democratic Congressman Ed Mezvinsky.

Edward “Ed” Mezvinsky, who served four years in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1973 to 1977, was convicted of fraud in 2002 and sentenced to seven years in a federal penitentiary, of which he served five.

I attempted to contact reporter John Popovich, to whom the above text is attributed, but received no reply.

I’ll bet Webster Hubble, her father, would be proud of his Howdy-Doody looking daughter today. Wow!

Chealsea is not good enough to get in a trailer park on her own? Well, MAYBE, if she could get James Carville to co-sign for her.

This place was all paid for by F-I-L’s graft money.

Must be about time for Marc to take another ski vacation.

Remember we are talking about the next Empress of the Untied States of America. Show a little respect. (I show about as little respect as I can.)

I know this building. It's under renovation now and it sounds like she will be taking the top floor penthouse.

It's small compared to the neighboring buildings and I have a buddy who's apartment overlooks the penthouse garden. While not visible from the street, it is very visible from the top. I hope Chelsea doesn't ruin his view...

Even funnier is that EL AL’s office windows are pretty much level to her garden. She'll be getting daily reminders of Israel through them.

In special cases liberals have no problem with vast inherited wealth. Just not as a general rule.

"...Clintons were worth $42,000.00..."

Bubba & Hitlery could have always donated some more used Jockey's to The Salvation Army to up that net worth.

4 bedrooms and 6½ bathrooms? Why always so many bathrooms in such places? Just wondering.

Well, good for her. Great deal, interest rates are low and the condo is probably undervalued right now.

"Special cases" == themselves.
"General rule" == anyone else.

Why always so many bathrooms in such places?

Considering the quality of people that frequent liberal dinner parties, having an abundance of vomitoriums in one's home is always a good idea. :)
