NEW BRIGHTON, Pa. Police said a 10-year-old New Brighton boy called 911 after finding both his father and grandmother passed out after using heroin.
According to New Brighton police, the boy first called emergency officials when he found his father in the bathroom. Minutes later, police said, the boy called back to report that his grandmother was also unconscious.
I was putting milk in his mouth and trying to keep him awake. All of a sudden, I couldnt move, said the grandmother, Ginger Foust.
When police arrived, the boy's father and grandmother were revived and both charged with endangering the welfare of a child, police said.

Well, the scorpion does give one something to look at besides her Private Duane Doberman face.
not = nothing
Huge heroin problem in SW PA right now.
Just had a huge bust in a motel (by TPike exit) and in a fast food parking lot in Irwin within the last couple weeks. Some of these busts make the TV news, others you find out about because regular people “saw” the police action.
Local HSs have had numerous OD and one death. Again, the death (neighboring school district) was because the grieving parents went to the media and said “tell our story.”
This heroin problem has intensified in the last couple of years out here. A suburban “red” county outside Pittsburgh. It can happen anywhere...be aware people, be aware.
we're diluting our once good society with lots of white trash and black trash....
I see this everyday in my work....these people who don't work, live off he taxpayers, and addicted to drugs on top of that....
we're in a bad way....
circle the wagons, folks....circle the wagons...
In my opinion, it's often because they're trying to escape, trying to escape from what they see as a "harsh" reality. For them, it's easier to go away, even for a little while, under the influence. I think there is a spiritual element at work--these people that gravitate to drug use have a void in their spiritual lives...they seek meaning, understanding, and purpose in their lives.
Obviously for some drugs, there's an addictive side to them. Even after one or two uses, the body becomes mentally and physiologically addicted. Certainly those drugs that work on the CNS are even more powerful, as they cause the user to make irrational decisions, which in turn fuel more irrational decisions. A never-ending, downhill spiral.
I saw there was a big heroin bust in Homestead the other day, too. I don’t know what these people are thinking.
It’s been noted that my little township police dept hasn’t broadcasted on the public accessible “countyname 911” channel. Only fire & ambulance calls. The fast food parking lot bust was early evening, guns drawn w/perps down on pavement in full view of patrons of restaurant.
Scary stuff.
I guess having an alcoholic father provided a life lesson for me. I knew from early on I would never go down that road.
Prayers up for this child and for all children who are the victims of such a home environment.
Oh, yes, the scorpion on the neck is such an attractive touch.
Sad to say, you are so right.
did she think having a scorpion tat on her neck would make her more attractive?...I once told a broad (I almost dated)”What are you gonna do when you are sitting in a wheelchair in a nursing home, with your butterfly tattoo that looks like an eagle?” She said “Look at him. His face looks like a basset hound.” I never let her in my car. Tattoos on a women look like billboards on a Mecedes.
lol
Those who set about more than fifty years ago to destroy America knew that first they had to destroy the societal taboo structure; welcome to the reaping from socialist/democrips’ PC sowing. The republicants remain clueless, or so they want it to appear.
That is a remarkable insight, MGH.
We ate the apple.
Some would say it started when God breathed into Adam and he became A LIVING SOUL. Even after the fall, the human soul seeks a spiritual centering/sintering.
Again, you offer wisdom!
