Her decision was based on the fact that everyone in her house - including husband Chris Martin - is supposedly intolerant of gluten, dairy and chickens eggs. 'Supposedly'....
How about ostrich eggs?

A couple at my kids grade school were like this. Their boy was significantly smaller physically and slower mentally.

Why on earth is someone who self-admittedly has dysfunctional eating habits writing a book on nutrition (and thinking that people will buy it)?

You'd be surprised how many FReepers agree wholeheartedly with this bizarre human being, but I doubt they will defend her brand of idiocy here. She doesn't look healthy, and I'm sure this ridiculous diet of hers has something to do with it. Too bad she's forcing it on others who trust her to look out for their well being. You gotta have a license to go fishing but any moron can be a parent.

Gluten intolerance has gotten to be a fad...It’s an “attention” getter....like bad behavior. Same thin with lactose...
To: Mase
The Freepers you refer to mostly include meat, eggs, fish, and dairy in their low carb diets, and don’t include the kids. It sounds like GP wants to live on tree nuts and miso soup.

That means the poor kids have two strikes against them: 1) Stupidity genes from Mom, 2) IQs further degraded because stupid mom, starved them of carbs.

Do keep in mind that if we go to licensing parents it will be our delightful government that issues said licenses. I doubt many FReepers would make the cut.
Leave licensing out of it. Keep laws against child abuse and neglect (and enforce them).

Gluten is historically one of the most important proteins in the nutrition of the West. The poor ate bread; see the Pater Noster. The anti-gluten nonsense by people who are not suffering from celiac disease is mostly fadish.
