Goofy curtains aren't near as weird as what we do in Pennsylvania: state controlled liquor stores with unionized employees who push "house brands" rather than what is available in the other 49 states.
Better hope Mayor Bloomberg doesn't see this thread and get more ideas for NYC.

I’ve stated my opinions regarding Mormonism as a religious belief, I don’t have much use for it. However, if the Mormon majority in Utah want to require restaurants to hang curtains to conceal a bar it’s their prerogative and I support that. If they didn’t want liquor sales at all, I’d support that too.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, of which many legislators belong, advocates that its members not drink alcoholic beverages. Why not?
Is there an LDS SCRIPTURAL prohibition of it?
