We can all have a lot of fun with this nonsense. But, of course, Neanderthals never actually existed. If there ever were any “other kinds of humans,” they would have been explained in Genesis. Also: 30,000 years ago? The Earth has not been here nearly that long!
Yeahbut...why would you want to walk in on a somewhat interesting discussion and inflame it into a foolish and stupid argument? [cf. 2 Tim. 2:23]
Really. Who has the time for it?
Neither The Creed, nor the epistles give any detail beyond the simple affirmation that God is The Creator, which should be a VERY strong indicator as to the priority the Apostles put on conjectures about man’s origins.
Christianity has ONE Commission, and it is solely concerned with man’s FUTURE; NOT his past. Of what eternal value is an iron-clad argument clearly defining the exact means by which man came to be so long as the man, himself, is going to Hell?
IS it NOT sufficient for this hour to merely affirm that — however God did it — man IS? Ought Christianity not be FAR more concerned that some FIVE BILLIONS among man’s fellows stand — at this very hour — upon the doorstep of Hell, in utter ignorance of the rescue wrought by God in Christ Jesus for the love of their fallen souls?
