Thanks for posting this. I had not been aware of any updates.
Good choice. This is germaine to much of what we are facing. A link to the actual article would be appreciated.
Yes it is easy to see the similarities here. The media is being controlled for the Democrats advantage and that is not good for the country. The opposition is ridiculed by the media (Marco Rubio drank water!!!). It has gone beyond the norms for a healthy culture.
Before the Peron era, Argentina was the economic giant of Latin America & even outdid the U.S. in some areas. IIRC, the Great Depression of the 1930’s barely touched the land of pampas & gauchos.
Then came Peronista socialism & after about 1950 things started downhill.
Ping.
‘It seems insane, but the History I was taught twenty years ago is different from the one my son is taught, much worse, its different from the recent history I SAW with my own eyes.’
Who is she supposed to believe? The government or her own eyes?
Sounds sadly familiar to what’s happening to our nation as well.
The whole situation sounds very familiar to me for some reason....
Go to the beaches of Argentina and you will understand why they have problems with politics. I have seen swim suits on the beach which not only are provocative, the vast majority are so minimal they would actually be better off not wearing anything at all.
That is a sign of the decline of morals and the consequent decline of the country. (I am not just talking about the government but specifically about the acceptance by the public which leads to progressive control by the government.)
The US and other countries have a degree of the same problem, but many (if not most) people retain a more modest swim suit choice. Some public pools have actual swim suite standards something which I understand that Argentina does not have.
I really do not know about their pools as I have not visited any but I do know about the public beaches. One can not miss the obvious purely sexual display.
Thanks for posting this. At the beginning of the 20th Century we were only about as powerful in the world, if that, as Argentina. And it would behoove us to study our parallels with them since then.
