Employees: Obama donor in process of buying up and ‘destroying’ America’s top pro-gun media outlets

Employees of Obama donor Leo Hindery Jr.’s media conglomerate Intermedia Partners, which now owns most of the top gun-culture media outlets in the country, believe that Hindery plans to gut and destroy all of them as part of a business plan that has already led to numerous layoffs and the virtual shuttering of prominent television production facilities in Minnesota and Montana.

Hindery, who was in consideration to be President Barack Obama’s secretary of commerce, is managing partner of Intermedia Partners. The New York-based media private equity fund owns Intermedia Outdoor Holdings, which publishes 17 hunting, fishing, and shooting magazines, including Guns & Ammo, Handguns, Gun Dog, Rifle Shooter and Shooting Times.

Right after Sandy Hook, several cable channels dropped their shooting/hunting related programming. If any production companies went out of business, that is why.

Let him. There will always be a market for this segment. Look for it to expand online while the dead tree magazines wither.

That is what I was thinking. This will not effect the basic economic principle of demand. If anything, I see more effective opportunities at the local and state level via the internet and gun clubs.

So an Obama supporter spends millions of dollars on buying and eliminating printed material for guns/hunting/ammo and has nothing to show for it?

go for it. The internet is full of websites these users can bookmark and visit and support 2A websites with purchases.

Print media is dying and if a RAT wants to toss his money away at it, go for it.

There is a preponderance of evidence that the socialist left implements a strategy to gain control of, and shift left, any and all media they can get their hands on.

For pro gun media, a liberal progressive policy would drive customers away to the point of failure, so the the goal of just closing the enterprise would be logical and effective.

I really think this administration is trying to provoke some nutjob into another mass killing ... then they will just say ... “For the safety of the entire country ... turn them ALL in now.”

Crush dissent with pure wealth. Don’t like the message? Simply buy the messenger and then fire them. See how easy that is! Oh, and don’t even think of striking out on your own, because your former employer owns the message, per non-compete and IP clauses. Violate that, and you will be crushed by an army of corporate lawyers, who’s sole purpose is to crush dissent. Or worse, they sic the government on you.

It’s almost as if there is some kind of drug enhanced mind control for leftist nutjobs. The sickos are programmed remotely to go out and go crazy. Maybe a special access program in the pentagon has created theta wave control unit that works from a distance on the brains of drug weaked and drug enhanced losers. Who knows who has control of the high tech mind control owned by our evil government.

"Simply buy the messenger and then fire them."

Hey, this is the American way. Survival of the fittest measured in who has the most power(wealth). The industrial barons of the late 1800's built their wealth on this principle. Should we say shame on elite conservatives if they are unable, unwilling, or in collusion with others of wealth not to play this game? Yes a little sarcasm in these words, but what did the Founding Fathers mean when they wrote the words "We The People"? All of the people or just the landed, wealthy, educated people of the time?

Wouldn’t be surprised to see fines and closures because they forgot to cross a T or dot an I on their tax or permit forms.

Just like 1968 all over again! After the murder of Bobby Kennedy, and the anti-gun hysteria, many hunting shows devolved into fishing shows, and good adult themed TV shows like GUNSMOKE devolved into kiddie oriented shows with new time slots in the kiddie hour.

it's not like new magazines can't take their place with the same writers if they gut the ones they bought...

Guess it goes back to the golden rule:

“He who has the gold, makes the rules”.

Unfortunately, that only get’s them so far. Once the peasants learn how to fight off the king’s men, all bets are off. May the best side win. An ounce of knowledge is worth a ton of gold.

Might does not make right.

The richie rich globalists should respect the constitution and if they refuse, they need to be made to pay and pay and be afraid. Obammy won’t be around to protect them forever and we need to get revenge on them when we get power.

It's part of the ongoing class war. Our new, government-linked masters are so smart, they're telling the us (the rabble) not to bother with going on vacations to the West or anyplace to hunt, fish, camp, etc. The West is only for one-world elite folks. Give 'em what they want (stay close to home), and they'll run out of revenues debt soon. Without the funny flow from debt, they'll lose their means for enforcing their fascist/socialist policies.

IMO, until the default process cleanses our nation of this problem, avoid vacations. Boycott. Starve the B. Get ready for much harder times, instead.

Too many Conservatives are still so afraid of being blamed for something by the media they won't even talk about the reason our second amendment exist. They won't support peaceful protest that encourage a display of heavily armed protesters that carry rifles and shotguns in place, or in addition, to more commonly seen handguns. Limiting everything we do and say out of a fear of the media is what got us in this situation. We better be able to survive an all out media propaganda campaign, because we can't prevent it with any strategy. If we can be destroyed by the actions of one person we have already lost. The liberal media is our most powerful enemy, and we have been losing ground to liberalism ever since it emerged.

I expect to see many of the unconstitutional gun control laws put into place. The left will get another incident to exploit at some point. Then Obama will use an executive order that will cause violence. The intensity, duration, and outcome of that violence are hard to predict considering how many variables there are, but it will happen.

We still have options that fit between where we are now and violent conflict, but we need to show strength. A strong patriot movement will make the cost of a conflict too high for many to accept, but any perceived weakness could cause a confrontation in my opinion. In that scenario we find out if that weakness is real by either losing our liberty in quick fashion, or having a costly conflict. I hope we can avoid that.
