Agree. I can’t think of a single show, back then, that was worth watching.

Yup. I tried to watch this show, but couldn’t keep at it. I couldn’t stand how her children talked to her, I saw very little family affection or respect for the mother. I didn’t want my son to act that way and disallowed it as approved viewing in my home.

As for single moms, black women have been doing it for years (and I’m talking before the fall of the black family thanks to the Great Society, etc.). Show a white woman on TV raising kids alone and she’s some kind of saint. I wasn’t impressed.
