Daylight Savings Time is from an era when America was mostly agrarian, and families worked together in the fields to bring in the harvest. The theory was that there would be more hours of daylight to accomplish this work.
However, now farming is done by machine, child labor is forbidden, and electricity lights our nights.
Hawaii and Arizona do no “do” DST. And they are happier, safer, and healthier because of it.
