Fortunately, the US government was being pro-active by wasting taxpayer money to develop these regulations.
It would be terrible if Americans killed a Yeti in violation of these regulations! Imagine the political theater in Washington as the Obama Administration pushed for additional gun control legislation to prevent tragedies like this from recurring.
I can see it now - Obama addressing a crowd of sympathetic supporters, with Yeti families standing behind him on the stage!!!
Pelosi, (Notso)Feinstein and Boxer would all bloody themselves trying to beat each other to a reporter to talk about their Anti-Yeti Hunting Gun Control Bill.
And, the DBM, failing to see what fools they are, would be all over the networks crying about those poor Yeti families just trying to find a safe place to live and work being constantly harrassed by evil, violent, American Yeti hunters!

We were trekking through the Himmalyahs when one of my porters, I think it was Scoobydo, ran away yelling “Yeti! Yeti!”
Sure enough, there the blighter was standing in the middle of the trail. Fortunately, I had read the warnings and had a can of pepper spray. I gave the bounder a stiff shot. I think it was Jim Beam. Turns out Yetis are just a bunch of booze beggars. He let us pass after I gave him a can of Coke for a mixer. We used the pepper spray to season the roast Yak.
