Mrs Obama appeared via video link at the Los Angeles award ceremony, wearing a shimmering silver dress as she announced that Argo had won the Academy Award for best picture.
The President's wife sometimes jokes about her right to "bare arms" and her dress left her shoulders and upper chest exposed.
But a report by Fars, an Iranian news agency that acts as a semi-official mouthpiece for the regime, told a different story. Its account of the Oscars ceremony was accompanied by a crudely-altered image of Mrs Obama in a less-revealing dress.
The alteration is believed to have been made so the photograph would comply with the strict rules enforced by Iranian media censors.

You can say that again! Then, maybe she looks better in the "blurry" pic...
what’s wrong couldn’t do a Burqa
I think the dress is better with the sleeves, she is to old to go bare armed.
Too bad Michelle didn’t get to walk the Red Carpet. She had to wait in the wings until her debut.
What I don’t understand is how photo-shopping her dress affected her mouth. I wonder if I could not do just as good a job with Paint, LOL!
Must be the same group of Iranians who photoshopped Obama’s fake birth certificate for him. /sarc
I’m with iran on this one...cover as much of that up as possible. I’d throw a burqa on her.
I think it is odd Iran cares about the Oscar appearance at all,
Maybe the Obama’s are going to retire there.
In that dress she looks like the Chrysler Building.
Totally agree...
Who knew the mullahs were fashion-forward?
Interesting they made her look thinner with the blurry photoshop and less like a linebacker.
I didn’t know that I agreed with Iran on anything....but I do.
She has the right to bare arms.
(Wow I can hear the groaning all the way over here)
