OK... I LOOKED, SEARCHED.... didn't find anything from Dotty. But, seriously... tonight's the OSCARS! Where's our Live Thread??
I cannot imagine Academy asking Ann Romney to be on the show if she were the first lady.
Mat, I get it.. I REALLy do. I'm a CONSERVATIVE. There's MUCH to hate about Hollywood... I DON'T SEE 90% of the movies that get made..
That said, I DON'T GET people who want to come here, STAY here, and just keep ragging... like NONE OF US KNOW that some crap comes from Hollywood... Say your piece, move on... It's NOT ALL crap...
They're just rude, and disruptive. Some of us just want to have a LITTLE fun. Life is not all protest, ALL the time.
THANKS to all that tried to play along... Sorry FR has gotten this way... it's been a slow decline...
“Argo” producer looked really familiar so I googled him. He was the computer geek in Schwarzenegger’s “True Lies”.

Heck, at least half of the audience would boycott the Awards show if they had Ann Romney present like Michelle did.
If Ann Romney was First lady, the Academy would me mocking her MS.
Well, the reasoning was because my grandfather always used to cite Jack Hoxie to me as one of his favorite cowboy stars (along with Hoot Gibson). But I’d only seen a couple of Hoxie films, and they were some bottom-barrel cheapies from the early talkie era, and not regarded as prime examples. The silents were representative of the ones my grandfather saw, and when I saw this 1926 one pop up on a cheap public-domain dvd for five bucks, I ordered a copy.
I noticed that when they introduced the picture Lincoln they mentioned that he too had to deal with gridlock in Congress. The message is that Obama is like Lincoln. We have entered Bizzaro World.
I thought he was pretty funny... but, they'll still get Tina and Amy next year...
Yup, we have entered a world where Joseph Goebbels would be taking notes.
I thought he did a good job. I laughed out loud a few times. I also liked that loser song at the very end. But, damn, I'm watching on the east coast. They've got to do something to shorten the show! Good thing I have a late start at work tomorrow (that has absolutely nothing to do with the Oscars).
The Hollyweird Mutual Admiration & Backslapping Society? I couldn’t give a crispy crap either. I suppose there were some here mooning over these vain airheads.
Confirmation just arrived: My lesser half just informed that the First Narcissist’s pet Wookie made an appearance. Your post is as far as I got. It says it all. I saw one movie at the theater this year: ‘The Hobbitt.’ Those leeches won’t get more than that from me this year.
Hold on, I’ll tell you what I really think ... swing those lefty bast—
Thank you...I thought he looked like that guy.
Ugh... Ya'll can stomach watching Zero at the SOTU, and yet we can't watch the Academy Awards??
I was out of the country that night... thankfully.
The sites been 'better' since the pre-election upgrade. I haven't tried many Live Threads since then...
What did everyone think of Seth as host?Breitbart was not impressed.
MacFarlane Didn't So Much as Tweak His Shtick for Oscar Night, Did He?
Industry is about fracking and providing energy to our nation. Industry is about making steel and concrete products that build wealth and that add value to our nation.
Unfortunately, today, The Arts is about promoting an anti-Christain, pro-homosexual, drug-infested, violent, Muslim loving, communist view of the world.
I could care less if there are people on this site who are in the industry. Just a bunch of faggots watching other anti-American faggots on TV if you ask me.
If there are people in the industry on this site, they really need to reconsider their lives and what they contribute to society. I am sure they are not wanted in TX where so many in CA are moving.
Night all!
At least it wasn’t Whoopi Goldberg.
I agree. I don't know why people who hate the movies feel compelled to chime in on an Oscar thread. It's as if they're trying to say, "Look at me! I'm morally superior to you because I don't watch movies made in leftist Hollywood!"
I like movies. Always have! And I like watching the Oscars. My only complaint is now that I've gotten older and have kids, I don't get to the theater much and I wish the nominated films would find their way to Redbox sooner. As it was, "Argo" was the only nominated film I got to see. I'm sure I'll catch most of the rest once I can rent them.
Really cheesy stuff tonight and Michelle.......really?. I got to thinking.....why don’t they have a category for the best Oscar acceptance performance of the night?
