How about New York? Is Broadway safe to watch?Like I would spend a dime in NYC. I am certain most FReppers wouldn't either.
As for safe to watch, that all depends on your moral fortitude and if you have one of the few licenses to carry in NYC.
I see crap in Harrisburg in everyday life that will make your stomach churn. Having to watch the same type of crap, pay for it, and then idolize it in an awards ceremony is a completely different thing.
BTW, I do watch movies and TV with my family, but we are selective. As for theater, no so much. We recently watched, Captains Courageous (1937) staring a young Spencer Tracy. Now, that was a movie, although it had a minor theme filled with progressive anti-business tripe. At least I never recall Spencer Tracy using his popularity to spew leftist ideas. (I have to admit Spencer Tracy is before my time, so I really don't know.)

I got it out of a Redbox machine. Never made it to the theaters. Beasts of The Southern Wild is a tad strange, I warn you. I’d guess viewers will either love it or hate it. I truly almost shut it off. The little girl in it is priceless, and her dad’s great too (first film for both-she was 6 when the film was made. He was working in a bakery across the street from the small studio where it was made. The producers asked him to come over and do a reading.) Please get back to me after viewing...unless you’re mad at me.

Exactly! I won’t see their movies and I certainly will not tune in to see these America haters swoon over one another.

Easy... watching movies puts my wife "in the mood"... It's a sacrifice I make, for the greater good! :) There was a South Park episode about Broadway musicals that did the same thing.

Double whammy to Ben Affleck.
First, not even nominated for Best Director.
Yet, Editing wins...
Hmmm, Academy hints for pretty boy to get back in line.

Definitely one of the better Bond themes, it was reminiscent of the 60s Bond themes.
