Whatever you do, avoid Examiner blogs, they are the worst. A half dozen pop-ups or float overs along with banners on every available inch of real-estate. I’ve started getting alerts of a lot of tracking cookies too.
Ghostery is a Firefox add-on that blocks all hidden tracking software on websites you visit.
I was just at examiner.com in Google Chrome and there was nothing blocking the text. As long as the article is legible,
pop-up and banner ads are like junk mail that I didn’t ask for and don’t want (especially customized) but can be just as easily ignored.
