PLYMOUTH, England, - A woman in England says her family's pet rabbit apparently scared off a nighttime burglar.
Kimberley May of Plymouth, England, said she and her family heard the rabbit, Toby, thump on the floor loudly five times in the early hours Thursday and they went downstairs a few hours later to find burglars had taken items including a WWI medal and gifts for her upcoming wedding , the Plymouth Herald reported Friday.
"We think that when the rabbit thumped it scared the burglar off and they left all the stuff they were going to take," May said. "They managed to take a laptop, an iPad and my handbag with my purse and everything in, but the worse thing was my great granddad's medal."
She said Toby, a British Giant bunny who stands at 2 feet and 10 inches tall, was "traumatized" by the incident.
"He's usually really friendly but he tried to go for the policeman," May said.
Police are investigating the incident.
First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.
It’s not my fault!
I like that he leaped at the investigating Bobby.
