Paul Krugman reminds me of the encounter in the courthouse elevator between the punk who just got off on a technicality and Clint Eastwood in one of the Dirty Harry movies.

Punk makes a smartassed remark just before the elevator door closes. Harry grabs him by the collar and says:

"Listen punk, you are dogsh*t and there is only three things which can happen to dogsh*t. It can dry up and blow away. It can get stepped on and squashed. It can get scrapped off the sidewalk and thrown into the trash. Which will it be with you?"

Quiz points go to the first one to name the specific Eastwood movie.

I love it when Clint delivers lines like that all of a sudden. They have more impact when they don’t seem scripted.
